Identify SMD K7K
« on: August 27, 2020, 02:43:08 am »
Hi,

I have an ultrabook with motherboard Samsung Series 9. During a battery replacement I knocked down a part  :palm:

I took pictures in case I lost it, which I did  |O and know I'm trying to buy it and put it back.

It belongs to a motherboard model AMOR-2-13-MONO REV 1.0 NY BA41-02132A. I had no luck on this board schematics. It goes next to the 6 pin component. The attached picture shows how it should look installed.

The part code reads like K7K with KK dater code and it's a 3 pin SMD.

May be this part https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/on-semiconductor/2N7002K/2N7002KCT-ND/2060375 but I'm not sure and would like to confirm this is the correct part.

Hi,

I also found this one that looks more acurate by the markings on the Datasheet.

According to famous Russian site, it is either a 2N7002K or a DMN601K, both of which appear to be the exact same thing. My experience with motherboards is that those are common parts on them, and the marking matches both the datasheet and sellers' pictures, so I'd say you found it.

I pulled the trigger and bought the parts. I will report if the repair was a success or if I fried my board.
