Improving: Sumsour Rework & Sold.Station Sumsour 8586 with PCB Kasadi 8586DP 2.0

(1/1)

MarkFalk:
Hi,
a friend has bought a new Rework- and Soldering-Station labeled "Sumsour 8586":
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005007973991855.html?

I assume all the other same looking devices are identical.
Inside is no (large) transformator but a "new" pcb by Kasadi, labeled "8586DP Ver.20 2023/03/29". Please see the pics I have made and attached.

On the pcb are working two 20pin-devices labeled with "FMD" (manufacturer?) and "T4LRHDH" - no idea what kind of uC or what else this is.

Some pins are connected to the both empty pin-rows labeled "RISP" (I assume: Rework ISP) and "SISP" (I assume Solder  ISP) with the labels 5V, GND, SDA, SCK and RST (at RISP). So the uC (?) seems to be (re)programmable.
The soldering iron does not has a temperature-sensor, it is connected with 3 wires only, 2 wires for power (half-wave: negative sinus-waves, around 300V) 1 wire for earth (connected to the tip, indeed, see pics).

But it seems to has some kind of regulation, though: Due to the adjusted temperature the station sends every second a packet of negative-half-sinus-waves, the number of waves/lenght/duration of the packet is variable. It depends also on the "temperature-load" on the tip - with heavy "load" the number of half-waves/lenght/duration of the packets increases, with low load (e.g. when heating the tip otherwise) it decreases. But it does not has a sleep/standby-function (automatic decrease of themperature when putting aside) :-(.

My questions:
Did already anybody a reverse engineering of the circuit of the soldering-electronic?
I would like to add a sleeping/standby-function. Does anybody has an idea how this can be done?
