Infant Optics DXR-8 Baby Monitor Repair
« on: November 25, 2023, 04:05:50 pm »
I have a baby monitor that randomly quit working.  Leading up to the failure, I noticed the LiPO battery wouldn't charge so I took it apart thinking maybe it was the charging IC.  It seems as if the processor has died but wanted to check if anyone had any other suggestions.  Here's what I've done so far:

-SAT 3.3V and 5V power rails
-SAT clock signal into the main processor
-NO data on the TX/RX UART port
-NO data on any of the LCD signals coming off the processor
-NO SPI data/clock between processor and RF IC
-NO clock signal on the 18Mhz crystal for the RF receiver chip... not sure if this could be a culprit somehow

UK1 - Sonix SN9300
U6 - AMIC A7121
UP3 - THX202H Buck switching converter
UF1 - FP8102 LiPO charging IC

Any other thoughts to check?  Not sure how the processor would have failed but that is the only thing I can think of :(
