ipc level lifted pad repair
« on: July 06, 2022, 11:23:47 pm »
hi guys in doing some repairs i have come across a few lifted pads and i have tried using pad strips to replace a pad using a green uv curing solder mask method. but have had limited  sucess so i looked up the ipc  standards for rework and found they use an epoxy but they don't say what one. has anyone had great sucess repairing pads more permanently with epoxy and what one was it that you used

I'm in the same boat on pad repair, so far Permabond 920 at least on paper, looks good and doesn't cost a fortune, but yet to try it, as awaiting some answers relative to shelf life from the supplier here in Oz, temp rated to 250 deg C. Also keep us posted if you also find something. Alan.
