Like what?  I don't see any mounting at all... I see a loose part. ???

That is using a thermal pad with internal screen.  I recall them from decades ago for emi management of drain parasitic current due to capacitance coupling.  I used it in a prototype for measuring waveforms and Lisn levels for Pspice simulations of SMPS emi.
