Title: JBL Xtreme 2 chip identification

Hi,
I'm trying to fix a JBL Xtreme 2 and the chip U25 is burned so bad that the markings have disappeared.
Does anyone know what chip it is? It seems to be some kind a of voltage regulator.

Finally got an answer from a JBL support center so I'll leave the chip name here if anyone else is looking for it.

Hi, thanks a lot for sharing this information as my U25 burnt the exact same way.

Did you were successful repairing it by replacing the part?

Edit: If my calculations are right, this part is a quite common DC/DC step-down converter configured for 1.2 volts output. I have a couple very similar with the same pinout lying around, so I tried replacing the broken SY8201 with a MP2459GJ-Z (and adapted the value of the two R2 resistors from 19k to 30k). Unfortunately in my case the EN pin of the step-down won't get active anyway (maybe because of another fault). I think I'll see if I can get a cheap replacement board on ebay or the like...

Hi guys, i have the same problems! Someone connected another AC adapter to JBL, and the U25 chip was fried! On the chip was this code ENAFB. I have replaced this chip with a new SY8201 (15%OFF | 10PCS/LOT 100% New SY8201ABC SY8201 EN2PA SOT23-6 Chipset https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOJTOwo ) On this chip the code is: ENE0F. The problem is somewhere else on the board, because the chip is getting hot in 2 seconds after i plug the AC adapter. If someone had identify other components that can get bad, please post. I could 't find any schematic online.
