I've recently got a Keithley 2000 from the year 2000 with its last calibration 2 years ago and seems perfectly fine as far as I can check at the moment...
Popped the hood, noticed nothing weird.
However it has a few electrolytic capacitors from Nichicon (datecode also year 2000) which look perfectly fine visually (no bulging, leaking or whatsoever).
What is recommended, leave everything as it is and use it till it fails or should I do some preventive maintenance on it?
The outside could use some cleaning for sure
Is it wise to replace those caps at this time or not? I've replaced failed caps before on other devices but never on a old test test equipment.
Any other recommendations are welcome as well!
