Title: Keithley TF-245 Bodge
Post by: ApertureScience on July 14, 2024, 07:04:01 pm
I have another Keithley 2000 with a broken TF-245 resistor array (pin 4-14 30k).  I wrote Tektronix Support, but I want to have a plan B. In my case only one path is broken, so im considering putting another low tempco resistor on top. Any recommendations? I was looking at WELWYN - PCF0805 5ppm surface mount or two NOS Alpha Electronics (20k+10k 5ppm) in series. Those seem to be readily available at 20 Euro for both options.

Ideally one would like to have matching between the 3 x 30 K resistors. So 1 good external resistor may not be good enough. It is a bit unclear if the 3 resistors should have the same value of maybe a bit different.

For 3 matched resistors I would consider 2 x NOMCT 10 K (or 20 K) using 6 + 3 of the resistors.

I got a quote from the german spare parts supplier, which is CALPLUS, for 48Euro not including tax and 3-4 weeks lead time. I will go that route.
