| Kenwood TS-430S problem |
| (1/1) |
| N2TCG:
I bought a Kenwood TS-430S, it has one problem. When powering up the display is totally blank and no receive. If i reset the cpu by holding in the A=B button and then power unit on and release A=B button, the radio works fine. I have to do this every time i want to use radio. Has anyone had this problem and if so what is solution? Thanks N2TCG |

Going for the low-hanging fruit first - does it need a new battery? |

Does kind of sound like the non-volatile memory battery is dead. I am far more familiar with the 440 model who's biggest problem is PLL unlock due to aging plyobond glue in the PLL section. I think 430's may have the same problem. |
