Keysight 33500B (33521B) Screen Saver not working

I have a couple of annoyances with my 33251B -- the screen is rotated slightly from horizontal (others have noted the same issue). I tried to disassemble it and align the screen, but it doesn't seem possible to realign. Second, the fan is always on, and is quite loud -- I'd like to replace it, but I didn't want to disassemble so far -- I might just put an R in series with its power.

When I reassembled it, it powered up with an error message -- turns out the clock got reset -- so I set that again and now no errors occur. However, the screen saver now doesn't kick in -- it is supposed to dim the display after 8 hours of inactivity.

Any ideas on how to fix this ?

Some of the 33500B series generators have indeed a slightly slanted display.
You can actually fix this by opening the front panel and adjust the PCB rotational position.
You might have to remove some plastic material on a guide.

I have added a 100 Ohm (1W) resistor to the fan in my Keysight generator and it works perfectly.
No need to exchange the fan.

I am not sure about the screen saver.
