Title: Laptop charging circuit repair
Post by: adamistr0 on March 11, 2019, 09:02:20 am
Hi, friend gave me HP ProBook 4540s as "not working". It had two blown charger input fets (PU4001 and PU4002 on schematic). I charged the battery and laptop was working fine, so I replaced these fets.
Now it works with charger, but when I plug in the battery, laptop starts using it instead of charging. (That resistor next to burnt legs (PR4003) is looking fine, 199k on multimeter)

Do you think it blew something inside the charging chip?
