Laptop mother manufacturers and part numbers.
« on: November 05, 2020, 07:40:00 pm »
Dear all,

As we know, for each motherboard schematic there is a part number. I would like to know whether there are more than one computer models are made of same motherboard schematic. Also I am curious whether there is a relationship between similarly of mother board and their naming convention. Also an example Quanta Project ZHS  and Quanta Project ZHT (imaginary) are mostly similar.

If there is such a relationship we can find the next closest schematic when original is not available. Appreciate the opinions of experts here.

all depends on manufacturer
MSI used to sell only slightly modified designs simultaneously under own brand and oem. They would cut&paste a slot, sound controller, or a southbridge like for example MSI K7D Master (MS-6501) and Tyan Thunder K7 (MS-6502).
Who logs in to gdm? Not I, said the duck.
My fireplace is on fire, but in all the wrong places.
