LCD Controller Board problem

I have a LCD controller board and when I connected it to a power source it showed red light (laptop screen not connected yet). Still showed red light when I connect the screen.
I noticed the screen displayed very weak light when connected.
The weird thing is when I use a HDMI cable to connect the board to my pc it showed green light but the laptop screen still black.
Is this a power source problem?

It might be silly, but have you connected the backlight power supply?

you bought a interface without knowing how it work ?

is it configured for the lcd size ?? on some models you need to flash the right  lcd specs .....

I changed to a different power source and the screen was just bright like this
