LCD mirror display

Sorry,  I posted this same question in the "projects"  forum.  'not paying attention I suppose.

Any way

I have an older VFD with an LCD operator MIO interface for monitor and programming.

The LCD screen is less than brilliant in regards to it's ability to display information screens.  Today, when the device was powered up,  the LCD screen displayed the page as a mirror image.
Am i correct not to consider the LCD module it's self as the bad component

I've never heard of that before but I did fix(sort of) a TV and end up with an upside-down picture. It was a warranty unit so instead of sending me another main board they bought out the set.

I would not say the panel is the problem, I'm thinking the issue is in the main board.
