LeCroy 44MXs-B oscilloscope HDD
« on: June 24, 2022, 09:55:55 pm »
Hello,
I recently bought a pretty used-up 44MXs-B oscilloscope that doesn’t boot, could someone who owns such a scope please contact me?
I have a few questions

Thank you very much.

You don't really need a backup of a LeCroy HDD.  You can install everything from scratch.

Change the motherboard CMOS battery while you're installing the new HDD.
  • Install the OS - make sure you have 2 partitions for C:\ and D:\.  I installed WinXP SP2
  • Name D:\ "UserData"
  • Install drivers for audio, video, ethernet, etc.
  • Install the Lecroy capture drivers - this gets you a "Data Acquisition Device" in the Windows Device Manager
  • Install XStreamDSOInstaller
The Calibration data is stored in EEPROM.  It gets copied across to the D:\ drive once XStreamDSO launches.

If you're having trouble finding drivers, try this: https://archive.org/details/UltimateWindowsDriverPackforVistaxp9895me20002003
