Lecroy DDA-3000 (Wavepro 7300) boots but blank screen
« on: September 03, 2023, 09:21:56 pm »
After operating correctly, my DDA-3000 powered up by flashing an orange screen then apparently going through a normal boot to the expected configuration of lighted buttons, except that the screen was blank.

I've power cycled with no change - each time a flash of something orange-ish on the screen then boot noises but no display on the screen.

However the display is perfect if I plug a external monitor in.

Immediately before the first bad power up I possibly hit the power button twice quickly, intending to switch off, but got the result described.

As I can get at windows using the external monitor, I'd appreciate any advice on how to troubleshoot this. It's a superb o-scope.

More info.

I did a restart from Windows with the external monitor connected.

The scope screen displays the big Lecroy logo and the first Windows loading screen in parallel with the external monitor, then as soon as the external monitor says "loading personal settings" the scope screen goes blank and start-up to a perfect scope screen continues on the external monitor.

So I or it have corrupted a setting for a second monitor that I can't find in the expected locations.

Help!

Your WIN system may lost the regular screen settings - desktop right click screen settings - duplicate screen instead of extend.
You can try aswell to run the recovery stored on the hidden partition.

Some of the lecroy scopes screens are based on lvds interface, maybe some bios settings get lost - what's with the bios eprom backup batterie?
