Lecroy DDA-5005 - Firmware / HDD Image

Hi

I have a Lecroy DDA-5005 with a faulty hard drive. Unfortunatly I did not find a image of the drive so far. Since the device is obsolete I doubt that Lecroy will hand over the image, but maybe someone has cloned one?

You shouldn't really need it.  Get a new drive, install windows and take it from there.  Just recovered a WP7300 in that manner, and it's documented somewhat in the thread in the test equipment section.  Through the service menu it's possible to recal as well, though you want a separate partition for it (I think the defaults are FIRMWARE on C and USERDATA on D).

Basically it's:
Install XP
Install chipset drivers
Install XStream
Install XStream drivers
Install touch screen drivers

Well I had a look in the thread but I cannot seem to find where to actually get the x-stream firmware and drivers?
I haven't found anything on the Lecroy website as well. Do I have to ask them directly and hope they hand it out or is there a mirror somewhere?

Is that also a XP Embedded install?

I was trying to get hold of all the software components to make a "rescue"disk for my LeCroy 454 incase of harddrive failure. I have everything but the xp embedded media.
LeCroy wont send that.

I don't know about the 454 but the 7000 and 8000 series use the normal desktop win2000 or winXP afaik(?)

Ah i see! Does it have the key-sticker in it and all then? Then you are in luck!

Even if you have no key sticker - win2k and xp and win7 keys are floating around in the www pretty freely these days. The good old days before online key validation
