Lecroy Wavepro 715-zi Channel-specific noise and issues
« on: December 21, 2024, 07:34:47 pm »
I got this used LeCroy Wavepro 715-zi oscilloscope, and was told that it had been fully functional recently.  However when I got it, I see the following:

-Periodic noise that goes off-scale (at any scale, and any input coupling) on channels 1 and 2, at around 10MHz
-Nothing on channels 3 and 4

The technician I got it from said that he had run into this in the past and the LeCroy support person pointed him at some routine he was able to run and fix it.  He doesn't remember what the routine was and despite lots of looking I can't find it.  Calibrating does nothing.  I had thought something might be wrong with the relays in the AFE or something, as this kind of noise seems like it would swamp out basically everything else.  Has anyone seen this before?  Any guesses what the problem might be?

Thanks,
Gabe
