Title: LIEBHERR 71ECB
Post by: EEVaditya on August 20, 2017, 04:12:33 am
Hello,

The Tower crane part specifications are as follows:

Make:LIEBHERR
LIEBHERR 71ECB
Mat.No.15F5ABE-YH02

The problem:
After starting the crane it gets jerk and the lights go dim momentarily,
can anyone guide what would be the exact cause? and the solution for it?

Also,
for the above mentioned part specifications where I will get the technical specifications,
like power consumption and so on. In datasheet they have not mentioned this information.

Once upon a time I wanted to buy one of these cranes for my lab, you know to move HP gear and my Tek 7104 around, but I realized it wouldn't quite fit.

EEVaditya: what have you already tried?

Have you contacted anyone knowledgeable about cranes, or that builds/repairs them?

I'm not sure that an online forum is the best place to get advice on something as massive, dangerous and regulated as a construction crane.  Good luck :)

The Liebherr website states 32kW total power for the drives, using VFDs.
You'll need a power supply with a good amount of extra power to deal with the variable frequency drives. A long and too weak supply line may cause heavy distortions on the power supply, leading to all kinds of misbehaviour.
