Lineage Power CP2000AC54TEZ issue
« on: December 27, 2019, 09:20:57 am »
I love to use Lineage Power CP2000AC54TEZ PSU (48V, 2KW) for my Ham Radio stuff running high power  LDMOS-Amps. They are silent, stable and solid like a rock.

I bought 2 Lineage last week but both are showing a weird behaviour. Last year I've built 2 LDMOS amps (70 MHz and 23cm) with these fine und low noise PS and they are working flawlessly.

The 2 PSU I bought last week in the bay won't come up with the proper DC voltage. After enabling the PSU via Pin 3A/4C (Logic GRD to Enable) via a 10 KOhm resistor the PSU starts working (blowers running slowly) but both show just 2.52V DC at the output instead of 50V. The two I bought last week are from a rather new production line of late 2015. Both PS show exactly the same behaviour. Pin 5C to 3A via 10 KOhm Pot in order to regulate POut doesn't work either.

These PSU are sold under several different brand names like GE, Tyco, ABB etc.

An idea?

Got it! A total reset of the device via I²C Bus was healing the issue which seems to be some kinda weird firmware mess :-)
