Logitech Unifying Receiver (solved)
« on: April 19, 2023, 12:25:30 pm »
I was having connection problems between my mouse and this receiver.  The connection was intermittent.  A look under the micro scope revealed the problem. A 0201 C13 in the antenna matching network has run off.  Since this is what I assume to be a tuned matching circuit, any ole coupling cap will probably not be optimal.  I have another receiver, but really don't want to snap the top off to see what the cap value might be.  The dongle operates at 2.4GHz feeding a trace antenna.  Any thoughts on what a range of values might be?

What's the part number on the transceiver? In the past, Logitech used TI's CC25xx parts.

It's NRFD24LU1P.  I added another pic.  Also found a data sheet and it looks like I'll need a 1.2pF cap in 0201.

I scraped some solder mask off the trace and scabbed in an 0603.  Works perfectly.
