Hi all,
Replaced a board in an airconditioner today, turns out it was getting damaged due to a faulty motor and as a result I killed the new board as well. As far as I can tell, the only part that is damaged is a NPN transistor, "2SC4487" (seized motor, high current burning out transistor). This seems to be an obsolete part and is not available on RS Components or Element 14.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a replacement? I'd try myself but it seems a little specialised (also in an odd package) so I assume it's not as simple as swapping in a bog standard NPN with the same current and voltage ratings. Datasheet I've found for it is here: https://au.mouser.com/datasheet/2/308/EN3093-D-310398.pdf (https://au.mouser.com/datasheet/2/308/EN3093-D-310398.pdf)
Cheers for any help!

Click on the "Compare with current part" button on the right bottom.Looks like 2SC5706-H can be used as a replacement and Mouser has a stock of 95 pieces.
Good luck

Here is another link: https://alltransistors.com/crsearch.php?mat=Si&struct=NPN&pc=1&ucb=60&ic=3&tj=150&hfe=30&caps=X73
It shows 2SC4482 as a possible replacement-at the bottom left.

You beauty. Gonna give the 2SC5706 a shot.
Cheers mate!
