Looking for Advantest TR6143 ROMs

Hi all,

After failing to modify my Advantest TR6143 SMU for European mains I gave in and bought a mains converter.

Unfortunately, the unit does not boot. Seemingly the entire display lights up. The "monitor" lights turn off after about 5 seconds but nothing else happens even after minutes. Not even an error code. Unplugging all but the power cables from the front panel results in the exact same behavior.

There seem to be two EPROMs in the unit, one on the DAC board and one on the front panel board. Given the unit's behavior, I'm suspecting a fault in the latter.
I tried searching for a set of ROMs online, but no luck. Does anyone here have them? The markings on the sticker on the front panel ROM seem to be 1899L-3 1897L-3.

In any case, I tried pulling the data off the front panel EPROM and attached it here. I'm not sure what to make of it, I'm just surprised that a good part of it seems to be empty.
After reading the EPROM and plugging it back in, the unit behaves the same.
Of course I'd be happy to post the contents of the DAC board EPROM as well. However, I'd prefer to verify that it's functional before doing so.

The checksum for your ROM dump is 0x00.

You can try asking if he did an eprom dump.

The first file was the binary version. That's the version that we prefer. A checksum of 0x00 means that the EPROM is most probably error-free.

Oh allright, obviously my ignorance is showing I'll see if I can read up a bit. Thanks for your input.

I'll go have another poke around in the unit to see if I can find any other issues. Hopefully something analog, a bit more my speed.

I diff'ed your ADVANTEST_TR6143_digital_SYS-1897_L-3_MBM27C512-20_U2.BIN file against my own; they are the same.

I guess I'll have to look around some more to fix my TR6143.
