Looking for Agilent 34401-88842 IO processor image

Hi,

I'm plodding through a repair of an Agilent E3631A and it looks like there is broken "I/O Processor" CPU on the bottom board.

It's an N83C51FA with an id of 34401-88842. Does anyone have an EPROM image for that by any chance?

The part number you give, link to a display processor in the Hp Agilent Keysight 34401a multimeter 

You can buy an replacement processor at Digikey, Mouser  etc ...  but you will need the firmware dump of your power supply ic's as you know

And keysight will not sell you this one with the version 11 firmware, you'll need to send your meter  ...

But in your psu   you have at least 2 of theses cpu,  the last digits of the cpu model is important
Electronic parts for you power supply may or will start with 3631-xxxx part designator


I think you should correct your first thread title, its misleading ?? you need the E3631A  cpu FW

 
You can create a free acount at Keysight and search parts for your 3631 psu ...

Oh sorry, you're right, they push a 34401a meter part number for U7 U10  ??   you've made an error in your chip numbering ..

As i wrote,  This chip is very common, unless it have a programmation ...  aaaand  you will need a fw dump

Just to be clear, I’m looking for firmware for the IO processor (the one that handles GPIB and serial comms).  Firmware for the main and display processors is widely available but haven’t managed to find one for the IO processor.

The id is 34401-88842  This is reused in a variety of Agilent kit Including PSUs and meters.
