Looking for schematics for lab power supply Terco TF101
« on: December 23, 2021, 08:39:45 pm »
I'm looking for schematics/manual for my lab power supply Terco TF101. It's from the end of the 60's or beginning or 70's.
Unfortunately I don't have the manual, and there are two burned resistors that would need to be replaced.

Does anyone have this power supply?

Hello, are the resistors burnt beyond recognition? I mean, can't the colour bands be seen? Thank you.

Yes.. There are color bands on them, but not really recognizable. Also, I have measured the resistance of both, and they don't have the same values (though I think they should). So I guess the resistance has changed when they were over heated.

I assume the colors changed due to the heat.

But, if that is indeed white, white, brown, that would mean 990 ohms. I measured both resistors, to 247 ohms and 461 ohms respectively.
Both should be the same, as the board is otherwise mirrored (I think for + and - voltage).

I have been thinking of drawing up a schematic for it, but that would be a lot of work. Both the PCB itself (comparing the trace on the underside with the components on the top side), and all cables leading to the transformer, power transistors, etc.. But I might still do that, eventually.
