I posted also on Tekscopes, but I'll mirror it here for others to reference.
If you actually damaged the contents of the cal EEPROM you will need to completely recalibrate the unit.

think if this happened you would likely get a calibration error on boot (working from memory...), so there might be hope yet for your scope.
I would try reflashing the firmware and NVRAM first to see if the scope comes alive.
Recalibrating is not for the faint of heart, acquiring all the needed equipment and running through the calibration process is quite the ordeal...
Here's the ROM dumps attached below from my TDS794D, they are verified to work on my unit (I copied them into new NVRAM chips recently)
