HP 6032A faulty A4 board
« on: February 01, 2024, 09:42:23 am »
Hi,

I got my hands on faulty HP 6032A, it powers on, display is working but no output voltage. I found few faults on A4 FET board, open fuses, shorted switchers etc. I am ordering replacement parts but got confused about diodes on this board.

According to the schematics: CR001, 2, 5-13 11 1901-0731 DIODE-PWR RECT 400V 1A 1N4004G

However someone posted a repair post stating these are 1N4150. 1N4150 is even physically smaller than1N4004G so it appears wrong advice or perhaps different hw revision?

Currently installed diodes have markings F (likely for fairchild) and then 05 0. Some searches here return 1N4149TR so 1N4150 would not be out of question for the role of being in gate driver circuitry. I am leaning towards 1N4004G but would be nice to consult this with the forum.

Regards,
M.

We can close it, upon consulting another diagram it shows as:

CR005-11 7 1901-0050 DIODE-SWITCHING 80V 200MA 2NS DO-35

10 050 marking can be simply HP marking. Upon looking up 1901-0050 this is indeed 1N1450.
