luke 73 III dc voltage range issues.

The meter works fine except on DC voltage up to about 3v works fine, above that will not read. Like the auto range does not work. Any suggestions where to start?

suggests U1 or S1 bad.  I would check the switch for dirt/debris/damage, etc.
