Magna-Mike 8500 - repair of keypad
« on: December 07, 2021, 07:48:23 pm »
So I have been asked to see if I can get the keypads on one of these repaired (example pic attached). The measure and calibration and on/off buttons have all been used so often that they are no longer working. Of course, the unit has been discontinued and spare parts aren't available.

Is there an affordable way to repair the keypads, doesn't have to be like new, but given the replacement, units are 10k it's worth a punt to see if they can be repaired.

Also looking to make a new power supply, but getting a little confused on the Lemo connectors, its a FFA.OS with 2 pins but what is the difference with the 303/304 etc. ? Pics of the connector are attached.

Motorcyclist, Nerd, and I work in a Calibration Lab :-)

So everyone is clear, Calibration = Taking Measurement against a known source, Verification = Checking Calibration against Specification, Adjustment = Adjusting the unit to be within specifications.
