That is a very well known issue with the North American Philips product line (MaggotBox, Sylvania, Philco, etc.) That switch is available as a replacement part and is common. You need to find a local T.V. repair shop or look it up online. I have an identical monitor and I just left mine broken. I had one of those older units for use with a computer that had all the power switches on the front panel for Computer, Monitor, Printer, etc. I have personally replaced at least a dozen of those switches during the years my father operated a T.V. repair shop. I think MCM electronics and other aftermarket providers still list that switch!
