I have a problem with a HP ESA-L1500A spectrum analyzer. When it is powered up the screen appears very bright but nothing is displayed. I have checked the voltages on the motherboard and all seem ok. The eight status leds on the processor board stops almost immediately after power-up giving 11111010 (Main Firmware Checksum) error. Does this mean the firmware needs to be reloaded, and if so, how do you perform this on an analyzer that does not have a disk drive and a display thats not working?
