Scope bright up bistable expected signal

Trying to repair an old Gould Os1100 scope.

At the collector of TR706 should I expect just an amplification of the signal that comes from BU input 712, keeping the signal similar?

Or should I expect some modulation added to the signal or any other changes apart from amplitude changes?
