Measurement & Repair Inverter Solder Machine
« on: March 08, 2019, 04:31:51 pm »
Hello Everyone,

I´m from Argentina and i´m electronic engineer. I normally repair power electronics circuit and i´m new in this forum. I want to share same experiences and question about another experiences.

I have diferential probes MICSIG DP10013 with attenuator x50 and x500. I have an Agilent DSO3062A osciloscope.

Now i have a question about the measurement process in this type of circuits.

First of all, i have a question about high frecuency generators, because the TIG solder machines and Plasma Cutting System has a High frecuency arc to start the soldering process. I want to measure it, and i don´t know if my diferential probes are going to blow up  :-//.

Another question is about the max diferential voltage that i can to apply to my diferential probes, because the datasheet shows 1300 V (using x500) and 130 V (using x50). If i use x500, 1300V/500=2.6 V when my osciloscope can measure up to 300 Vrms. I don´t know why small voltage compare with the max voltage that can measure my osciloscope.

Thanks all for your support !!

Best regards
