The wireless optical mouse has been working great until recently as I typed something then leaving it idle for several seconds, then as I was to move my mouse again it wouldn't respond and move its cursor when it's supposed to be moving. If I turned off the mouse, then back on, and it worked again. Then I began typing, and when I went to move my mouse again, the cursor again didn't move. I switched to a different USB port, checked by using very good battery, and tweaked the setting to no avail. It's on Linux, though googled it found that many the exact same trouble on other OS
Luckily at such point it always does respond to click and scroll-wheel then immediately moving its cursor but it'd jump to a far distance randomly.

Any idea what actually the incorrectness or weakness here ?

if your home's wireless router (2.4GHz) is not close the mouse, and try another PC, if no help, you can consider the mouse had the problem.
