Title: MPPT - transistor has failed
Post by: Artem on October 17, 2024, 07:58:42 am
Greetings,

The 040N04PT field effect transistor in MPPT solar change controller has failed. I checked some characteristics of the second one. There is no information about them on the internet. The only thing I found is a photo on the forum with the same transistor, but next to it is soldered NCE40H12. I bought 5 of NCE40H12 transistors on Aliexpress and I don't know if they will really fit. They are most likely a fake. When I checked them, 2 of the 5 still have a voltage drop between the drain and source when the transistor is open.

Can you please tell me what can be used to replace the failed 040N04PT transistor?
Is it true that 2 of the 5 transistors I bought are faulty?

Regards
Artem

Seems the data are close to BSZ040N04LS

PS
Ali is not the best place to buy transistors, especially original ones.
