I've a radio-controlled clock on my bench just now
It was cheap from Lidl 15 years ago and switches between MSF Anthorn ("Rugby") @60kHz and DCF 77 for CET @ 77kHz
It's displaying all segments on and intermittently going to the normal boot.
The IC is sealed. I've ordered some new caps for it, some new ribbon for the DCF/MSF switch + reset tactile switch (buzzed out and not stuck on reset)..
I'm not sure if the xtal is working, it's reading 50Hz.which doesn't seem right What would be a typical value for such a xtal?
There's a plastic-coated bead-shaped device for the temp, not sure if the unit ever displayed humidity
Would such a sensor if for only temperature on such a cheap clock be a thermocouple, or what?
