I have an MSO4014 that has a problem with Horizontal position rotary encoder switch. Has anyone of you know the part number of the rotary encoder switch or tried to replace it with other replacement part? I tried to pull it out to find any markings but there is none. Please see attached actual images for reference. |

Noble SDB161 maybe. It would be difficult to find one with exactly the same specifications. It doesn't have to be the exact same encoder. although the clicks, etc would change. It is possible to similar encoder and with bodge wires. |

It looks like ordinary encoder without push switch. There is a good chance any standard encoder would do. Just get one that has same thread and shaft type and length, mount it with nut and connect it with wires to PCB. Of course it has to have enough space behind the PCB for it to fit. Getting original is not going to be easy, and these were not sold as parts ever, only whole PCB as subassembly. If you get a good quality encoder, chances are it is going to last longer than original one. |

one thing to consider, you have 12 ticks per turn and 24 on other models ... |
