Multimeter dial quality question. (Anyone has the Owon B35?)
« on: March 07, 2018, 05:13:30 am »
My past multimeter died on me because the dial had damaged contacts, I tried to repair the too fragile copper strip and ended up destroying the whole dial.

I had a VC99, I am planning on buying the replacement part, although shipped costs almost like a new VC99, but then i would have a new one and a perfectly working one without dial for parts (a waste if you ask me).
That multimeter works pearls for me.

I want to either find a way to replace (easy buy) or repair those (dial and or contacts), or a reliable multimeter which brand sells the dial part with contacts as a replacement for decent money (not a new multimeter price).

Anyone has something to suggest on the issue or comment about the Owon B35 dial quality? (It's on my watchlist for a new multimeter if I can trust this dial issue. The web page looks so far so good. Looms reliable, already asked if they sell the part while I ask here. Website is at least not in mandarin).

In my experience when the traces for the dial are gone, the meter's gone.
