Multimeter readings don't change

Picked up a cheapish Fluke 787 for repairs. I can select different modes and they show their standard baseline value but when I try to take a reading on any mode, the values don't changes. Had a quick look inside and nothing immediately looks damaged. First port of call will be to check the jacks but what are the next steps if they prove to be fine?

After checking jacks maybe check under the range switch:
