Multipole connector

(1/1)

wiss:
I'm trying to repair the cable for a turbo-pump, one, several, wires have broken close to the connector.
How can I open it?

8086:
You need to hold the central part that has the holes in it, and the back part will unscrew.

Thanks!  :-+

SeanB:
You will also need the plastic extraction tool, and new socket inserts. Those are available from RS in the circular military connector side. 19 pin circular locking connector.

RS part  494-521 seems to be the one you want.

helius:
You need to look closely at the part number on the connector. PT 06 E 14-19 S is a MIL-C-26482 Series I "Matrix" connector with (non-removable) solder contacts, MS3116. The removable crimp contact version would be labelled "PT 06 SE". So you will need to desolder the wires from the contacts in the connector you have. It would be best to cut the wires first to avoid damaging their insulation.
