MXA CPU Bios Database
« on: March 28, 2023, 07:28:45 pm »
Hi all,

I've recently purchase an MXA N9020A, the unit is based on windows XP with a PC2 32 bits. I was looking for an update cpu I request a quote from keysight (just for fun) 10K$ for a cpu upgrade ... It's kind of sad because when this PC is gone the unit would need to be scrap ... or being indecently pricy to repair ... Cheaper solution would be to find a way to use off the shelf Com Express PC.

I did find out that the PC2 Embedded is from Kontron ComExpress board Type 2 with a special Bios. I did try with several Embedded PC each time it is recognized as a PCSERNO, with a serial number from the licence key. It's unable to identify the unit as a spectrum analyzer. I would like to make these unit more repairable and I was wondering if we can mod stock PC unit to upgrade at lower cost and keep the serial number and unit Model. The other way would be to regenerate the licence key but the keys seems to be different from the PNA/ESA version 16 char instead of 12 ...

So far I have the Bios dump of a PC2 T2500 32bit and PC4 I7-L620 64bit Agilent Options. If anyone could help with the bios or continue the bios collection, feel free to share.
