Mystery Connector on HP 1652B
« on: November 11, 2014, 07:59:37 am »
Hi All,
Back on the HP 1652B, I'm trying to locate a replacment mains power connector for the PSU.
See the attached photo.
It's 5mm pitch. There's an Amphenol logo lurking at the back of one of the barbs.
I've had a dig round RS and Farnell but turned up nothing. I don't suppose anybody knows the type or where I can get a new one?
Thanks,
Mini

I think this connector is made by TE Connectivity, and is in their Metrimate, AMP series.

Check out the Datasheet/drawing, I think it's what you're looking for. If not, it gives you a place to start looking.
Mating part as well:

Spot on, thank you very much!  :D Shame there's no UK stock with any of my favorite distributors. Looks like a salvage job might be the best.
