Hi everyone,

I have a trouble with my old Fluke/Philips PM-5136 function generator, the LCD won't power-up cycle in booting initial system test and need help?.

I hope someone have an experience with this funtion generator and share it.

So far I have check it :

On power supply board is working fine,
# +5v = is ok
# +16.5v = is ok
# -16.5v = is ok
# +10v = is ok
# -10v = is ok
I don't find any wrong with power supply board.

On the main control board, I am not familiar with this system design from philips. I am just finding :

# uP 80C652 on Pin-9 (Reset) is working fine. on the power cycle reset the pin is high and if system running the pin is low = is ok

# EPROM M27512FI I try to read the EPROM data using Hi-Lo Systems All-100p on all address = all the data is readable fine.

# I tried to read I2C Bus and just find the system repeat continue sending I2C Master command 70h to slave PCF
8576 LCD driver and the Slave PCF 8576 try to answer with ACK then another cycle is with NACK then I2C Stop
and repeat this command again until the system power off.

I hope find someone in this forum have the Philips design knowledge, please share it here. Many thanks

How to manual test Static RAM ?

- HM-6268P-25_Static RAM 4096-Word x 4bit_Hitachi
- HM-6716P-30_Static RAM 2048-Word x 8bit_Hitachi

Any help would be appreciated.
