Title: Need help identify microchip on macbook air charger magsafe2 85w

Hello, today i was charging my mac book air and suddenly the charger litterally exploted.

After opening it, i realized the microchip marked on red was completely destroyed, i unsoldered it, the board it is ok, no missing pads by the explosion.... ::)

could anyone give me the reference??

Is that a fake Magsafe2 charger?

No, It is  an original Apple charger

There's a good chance it's a custom Apple IC, plus something blew it up so replacing it might just blow up the new part.

Those magsafe connectors don't last, might be prudent just to buy another charger or if you have AppleCare try taking it to an Apple store.

How are you sure that's a genuine Apple charger? Can you post more photos?
