Need help identifying a surface mount component
« on: September 26, 2019, 05:46:22 pm »
Hello

I am trying to fix a Red Witch Medusa chorus pedal but I have no schematics.  I am trying to identify the SOT component below.  The only markings it has are "MV"
According to the SMD codes databook it is a Diode.  But I think it may be a transistor because it connects to the LED which flashed at the rate of the LFO circuit.

Any ideas what it might be?

I have a collection of links to search for SMD markings, in this case the most helpful one was:

https://alltransistors.com/smd-search.php?search=MV

After that check the package and the datasheet.

Cheers for posting the link!

Just curious, how many links do you have for checking SMD markings in total? Do you know if the suggested smartphone app on the alltransistors page is any good?

At the moment just these:

I'm sure you can work out the URLs :)

I have no experience with the smartphone app, sorry.
