Need help identifying circular connector
« on: August 01, 2022, 03:44:17 pm »
I have a Garmin Rino 655t that needs a new charger. Aftermarket chargers are really pricy and I can find chargers with barrel plugs that have the right spec (9.5v 1.4a) at a fraction of the cost. The only problem is I'm not able to find the right connector for it after combing Digikey & Mouser's thousands of circular connectors. It's a keyed connector with a 8.2mm or so diameter and 3.5mm pin spacing. A (blurry) picture of the shape:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help, though this is what I feared.

I don't have a 3D printer but I could try molding it.

Take the cable from the old one and connect it to a new charger? Or use a new chinese copy? https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32657135181.html

Sugru works well for moulding custom connectors like this.
Crimp wires to your receptacles, fit them in place and press in the sugru, form nicely around the wires...done.
