PS4 Dualshock 4 v1 Stick Drift - Even After New Sticks?
« on: November 30, 2021, 04:05:42 pm »
I have just recently learned to hot air solder and have been repairing tons of PS4 controllers by replacing the analogue sticks.

However I have one controller here which like all the countless others is suffering from "Stick Drift" it is the v1 Controller model JDM-011

Now I just installed two brand new full sticks onto it but the drift is still there on the right stick!

I just removed and changed the right stick for a second brand new one but the issue persists!!

I have verified this on my PC using jstest and as you can see the right stick vertical axis is reading a value of 3040 without any input.

Any ideas? I am stumped.

Edit: I would like to add that this was the same reading the old original stick was getting.
