I managed to drop my Fuji JZ500 Digital camera some time ago |O. It kept on working fine, but he LCD screen developed a black spot! I don't use it much as I, like most people use the smartphone camera for most things! However it simply annoyed me that this black spot was there :-//. I managed to get a replacement screen from China for about $14 including shipping  It's dead simple to replace it..
Here you can see the black spot!

Simply remove the screws from the back side. Three on the bottom as shown here and then two on either side, plus another two one one side under the chrome strip.

Then you can simply flip off the back cover and expose the LCD screen within it's holding frame. Here you can see the camera open and the new LCD part.

The LCD simply flips out to the right and you pull up a black strip on the connector and remove the cable.

Then simply insert the new one, flip the black strip down again and close it all up. For fun I put the broken LCD under the microscope to see the bad pixels.

Not much to see, but something must have hit the area and caused the pixels to go to pixel heaven!
This is a low cost and easy repair to perform..

There is round crack in the internal glass layer.
