Found one of these pure sine wave jobs for $20...

Front panel corners were smacked a bit, but main problem... No Power. If you let these babies sit, they drain the batteries to zero, never to work again. New set of batteries $60
Hard to get the front panel screws out they got really bent up. Once I got the panel off, swapped in the new battery set. Working great!

Good stuff. I got one the same way but it wasn't that caliber! Amazing that people don't even try to change the batteries.
