Hi
Does anyone have a program for calibrating NRVD - CAL_D.BAS ?
-
Hi Jarek,
I had the same problem with an NRVS (NRVS = 1/2 NRVD).
Battery empty = calibration lost.
Several R&S subsidaries no longer support these TE, so it's difficult to get them calibrated.
IMO, finding the cal soft won't be that easy, but of course, it's worth to give it a try.
You probably will have to send your unit to a cal service. Perhaps try to get in touch with those guys (https://www.esz-ag.com/product/rs-qnrvd/rohde-and-schwarz/nrvd.html), to see if they can help you. They also have subsidaries in Austria and Hungary. Here's some information on the setup and workflow (https://www.esz-ag.de/downloads/qmh/250/open/15-xiii2-hf-leistungsmessgeraete.pdf) they use.
As you can see in the attached picture, my unit (last cal about 12 years ago) was off the ±1200 ppm spec for most of the AC ranges.
After calbration, the worst case error is now ±70 ppm. So I would say it was worth doing it. For my private use, it will suit me for the next ten years.

Hi
The cost of calibration in R&S is about 400 Euro + shipping.
You can buy a calibrated used one for that amount.
I will try to do it myself, I already have some information on how to do it.
